A unique experience of lumen and glass fusion: the story of the 15 Princeton students at the ISS Abate Zanetti school
Dear readers,
Today I want to tell you about an extraordinary experience that I had the privilege of sharing with 15 brilliant students from Princeton. These young talents made a stop at the ISS Abate Zanetti school to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of glassworking through intensive lumen and vectorfusion workshops.
The day started with great excitement and curiosity on both sides. As I prepared to be their guide on this artistic journey, Princeton students were eager to learn and experiment with new creative techniques.
During the eight hours spent together, we went through an exciting journey made up of discoveries and realisations. From the fundamental process of melting glass to the finest details of lumen machining, every step has been approached with dedication and passion. And as the glass took shape under their skilful hands, I could feel the enthusiasm growing in their eyes.
But what made this experience even more special was the human connection that was created. Despite the different cultural backgrounds and academic backgrounds, we have found common ground in the love of art and the desire to express ourselves through glass. We shared stories, laughter and moments of inspiration, making that day not only a time of learning, but also of personal growth and mutual enrichment.
Looking back at this experience, I can only be grateful for the opportunity to meet these talented young people and share with them my passion for the art of glass. I hope that their time spent at the ISS Abate Zanetti school has left an indelible imprint on their hearts and that they will continue to cultivate their creativity and exploratory spirit in their academic journey and beyond.
I thank Teacher Muriel Balensi for following the students in the lumen workshop.
I invite you to follow my blog to stay up to date on upcoming artistic and inspirational adventures. And if you have the opportunity to participate in a lumen and vectorfusion workshop, don't hesitate: it's an experience that will change you profoundly.
